Terms of Service
Effective October 21, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Bilog (“Bilog”, “we”) about your use of the Bilog app and website at getbilog.app. By creating an account or using Bilog, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Bilog.
1. What Bilog is and what it isn't
Bilog is a record-keeping tool. It helps you save payment details (yours and the people you pay), log who paid whomm, split shared expenses in groups (“Bilogs”), and keep track of your own spending, budgets, loans and investments (“Nukleo”).
Bilog never holds, sends, receives or moves money. Every payment you record happens outside Bilog, through your bank, e-wallet or in cash. Bilog is not a bank, an e-money issuer, a remittance or payment service, a lender, or an investment or financial adviser, and it is not regulated as any of these.
- Amounts, balances, budgets, “who owes whom”, net settlements and investment figures are calculated from what you and the people you share with enter. They can be wrong if an entry is wrong. Always confirm a payment with your bank or e-wallet before relying on it.
- Nothing in Bilog is financial, tax, legal or investment advice. Budgets, headroom and similar figures are informational only.
- A proof link (a page at getbilog.app/c/…) is a record of a transfer between two people. It is not a BIR official receipt, invoice or any other tax document.
- A paluwagan or any group arrangement you record in Bilog is an agreement between its members. Bilog only keeps the record; it does not collect, hold or guarantee anyone's contribution.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
- Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us at hello@getbilog.app if you think someone else has used your account.
- One person per account. Your handle and profile are public to anyone with the link, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings, or as described on our account deletion page.
3. Other people's information
When you save a contact, record a payment, or add someone to a Bilog, you are recording information about another person. You agree to:
- only record people you actually deal with, and only for keeping track of payments between you;
- have a lawful reason to keep their payment details (for example, they gave them to you to be paid);
- not use Bilog to harass, shame, threaten or pressure anyone, or to publish someone's debts;
- remove a person's details if they ask you to and you no longer need them.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Bilog to:
- break any law, including laws on fraud, money laundering, gambling, lending and data privacy;
- record fake payments, forge receipts or proof links, or mislead anyone about a payment;
- collect money from the public, run investment or “double your money” schemes, or operate a lending business;
- upload anything you have no right to share, or anything unlawful, sexual, or violent;
- probe, overload, scrape or try to get around Bilog's security or usage limits, or access data that isn't yours.
We may limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we may report unlawful activity to the authorities.
5. Your content
You own what you put into Bilog. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so we can run Bilog for you and the people you choose to share with, for example, showing a shared expense to the members of that Bilog, or showing a proof link to the person you send it to. We don't sell your data. How we handle it is in the Privacy Policy.
6. Paid features
Some features may be offered as “Pro”. If you get Pro, what it includes and what it costs will be shown to you before you agree to it. If a purchase is made through the App Store or Google Play, that store's payment and refund terms apply to it.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Bilog available and your data safe, but Bilog is provided “as is”. It may sometimes be unavailable, and features may change. Keep your own copy of anything important. You can download your data from Settings.
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect, and ask you to agree again where the law requires it.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Bilog is not liable for losses that come from relying on records in the app, from payments made or missed outside Bilog, or from disputes between you and other people. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including under the Consumer Act of the Philippines.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights the laws of your country give you.
