Short answers about what Bilog and Nukleo do, who can see your records, and what is free.

The basics
What is the difference between Bilog and Nukleo?
Bilog is for money that involves other people: saving payment details, keeping records of payments, and splitting group expenses. Nukleo is for your own finances: income, spending, accounts, budgets, and savings. They are two pathways in the same app. See the Bilog guide and the Nukleo guide.
Do I need two accounts or two apps?
No. You use one Bilog account and one app for both pathways.
Can I use Nukleo without joining a group?
Yes. Nukleo's personal tracking does not need a Bilog group, a linked contact, or a Shared Ledger.
Does Bilog send money or connect to my bank?
No. Bilog is a record-keeping tool. It never holds, sends, or receives money, and it does not connect to your bank or e-wallet. You pay through your bank, e-wallet, or in cash, then record the payment in Bilog. Saving account details in Bilog is not a connection to that account.
Is a shared payment record bank-verified proof?
No. It is a record created in Bilog, and it can include a receipt you attach. It is not independent verification from a bank or e-wallet, and a proof link is not a BIR official receipt or tax document. For important payments, confirm with your bank or e-wallet.
Privacy and sharing
Can my contacts or group members see my personal Nukleo ledger?
No. Linking with someone or joining their Bilog group does not give them access to your personal Nukleo records. Depending on how you are connected, they can see the payments between you, a group's shared expenses, and the payment accounts you saved in Bilog, because those exist to be shared. Features you choose to share, such as a Shared Ledger, are separate spaces with their own access rules. The table on the overview shows who can see what.
What is a Shared Ledger?
A Shared Ledger is a separate Nukleo space for money you track with people you invite, such as a household or a partner. Only linked contacts can be invited, and an invited person sees the ledger only after accepting. Taking part does not give anyone access to your personal ledgers.
Money you put into a Shared Account, or spend from your own account on a shared expense, is reflected in your own account balances. Starting a Shared Ledger currently needs Pro. Joining one does too, unless your account was created before the free limits were introduced, and people who have already joined keep their access. More in the Nukleo guide.
Can information move between Bilog and Nukleo?
Yes, within your own account. Nukleo has a setting called Sync Bilog transactions. When it is on, a settled Bilog payment becomes an entry in your Nukleo, flagged so you can choose its category. Unsettled payments stay under Borrow/Lent, which shows them whether or not the setting is on. Group expenses you paid can also appear as entries to review, even when another group member recorded the expense. Turning the setting on does not import past history.
The setting is on by default for new accounts, and older accounts keep the choice they made. You can switch it off in Nukleo settings. Syncing adds entries to your own Nukleo only. It does not let anyone else read your Nukleo records.
Can I share my payment details?
Yes, and only on purpose. Your public profile page shows just your name, nickname, handle, and photo. To let someone pay you, share the link for one saved payment account. That page shows the account's label, bank, account number, holder name, and QR code, for up to 30 days or until you turn sharing off.
People you are linked with, and members of Bilogs you are in, can also see the payment accounts you saved in Bilog, so they know where to pay you. You can publish one of your Nukleo debit accounts as a Bilog payment account too. Its name becomes the label, and the bank, account number, and holder name you enter are shared like any saved payment account. Its balance and your Nukleo records are not.
Where is my data stored, and what does personal mean?
Your data is stored in the cloud, in Singapore, so it can sync across your devices. Personal describes who can see a record: only you. It does not mean the record stays on your device or is end-to-end encrypted.
Bilog's service providers process data under contract. The Privacy Policy lists them and explains your rights.
Getting started and everyday use
Does the app work offline?
Partly. Nukleo works without a connection for what you have already synced: you can open it, browse your recent data, and add new entries, budgets, savings goals, accounts, account groups, and recurring rules. These upload when you are back online.
Bilog (contacts, payments, groups, and settlements) and Shared Ledgers need a connection, because they involve other people's records.
Can I sign in with Google?
Yes. On the sign-in page, choose Continue with Google. An account made this way starts without a handle, so claim one from your Profile when you want people to find you by it.
How do I install Bilog or add it to my home screen?
Bilog is a web app, so you can use it in any modern browser or add it to your home screen. On iPhone, open the site in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome, open the menu, then choose Install app or Add to Home screen. The exact wording depends on your browser and system version.
Can I import or export my records?
Yes. A copy of your Bilog data (contacts, payments, and proof links) is free for everyone: open Settings and choose Download my Bilog data. Nukleo CSV export and import are Pro features. Accounts that existed before these limits were introduced keep the access they already had.
